Split PDF

Separate a PDF into one-page files or precise page groups without uploading the document.

Local PDF processing

Choose how the PDF should be split

Split every page automatically, or define exact groups such as 1-3;4-6;7,9. Each group becomes its own PDF.

One PDF, up to 50 MB. The file stays on this device.

How it works

PBT opens the PDF locally, validates the requested page groups, then copies those pages into new PDF documents. Original page dimensions and PDF content are copied rather than rasterised.

Example

For a 12-page document, enter 1-3;4-8;9-12 to create three PDFs. Or choose Save every page separately to create 12 one-page files.

Frequently asked questions

Can I split a PDF without uploading it?

Yes. The document is processed locally in your browser and is not sent to PBT.

Can ranges overlap?

Different split groups may reference the same source page. Within a single group, selecting the same page twice is rejected so the output is explicit.

Are password-protected PDFs supported?

No. Encrypted or password-protected PDFs are rejected rather than bypassed.

Privacy

Your PDF stays on this device. Processing runs in an isolated browser worker, and temporary download URLs are revoked when you run the tool again or leave the page.
