Method & formula
The tool scans from top to bottom and preserves the first occurrence of each comparison key. Exact mode compares the complete line; trimmed mode ignores leading and trailing whitespace. Case-insensitive mode uses Unicode default lower-case comparison.
- Output order = first occurrence order
- Duplicate key = exact or trimmed line, optionally lower-cased
Example
Use trimmed, case-insensitive comparison to treat “ Beta ” and “beta” as duplicates while preserving the first line exactly as entered.

Does it sort the lines?
No. Original order is preserved.
Are line endings preserved?
The output is normalised to LF line separators so copied text is consistent.
