How it works
PBT opens the image in your browser and writes a new copy in the format you choose. JPG and WebP can use a quality setting; PNG stays lossless. The pixel dimensions stay the same unless you use the separate Image Resizer.
Example
Choose a 2400 × 1600 JPG and convert it to WebP at 85% quality. PBT keeps the same 2400 × 1600 dimensions and shows the actual file type and size of the result before download. Choose PNG instead and the output is written losslessly.
Frequently asked questions
Does conversion resize the image?
No. This tool changes the file format, not the width or height.
Why can the new file be larger?
Different formats store the same pixels differently. A lossless PNG, for example, can be much larger than a JPG or WebP. Choose a format for compatibility, transparency or quality needs rather than assuming conversion will always reduce file size.
