Password Generator
Generate strong random passwords or memorable passphrases locally with the browser cryptography API. Adjust length and character rules, regenerate instantly and copy without sending the secret to PBT.
PASSWORD GENERATOR
Generate a secure password
Create a strong random password locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored.
Advanced options
Each word is generated from a local 4,096-combination word space using cryptographic randomness.
Generate passwords locally
The generator runs in your browser and uses cryptographic randomness. Generated passwords are not uploaded, written to browser storage or included in analytics.
Choose the right length
Longer passwords increase the search space quickly. The default is 20 characters with uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and symbols. Some services impose their own length or character rules, so adjust the controls when necessary.
Password or passphrase?
Use the password mode when a service accepts random characters. Use passphrase mode when you need something easier to type or remember. PBT passphrases combine locally selected word pairs from a 4,096-combination word space for each displayed word.
Strength indicator
The strength label is based on the estimated search space produced by the selected generator settings. It is not a promise that an account cannot be compromised. Reuse, phishing, malware and weak account recovery can defeat even a strong password.
Frequently asked questions
Does PBT store generated passwords?
No. Generation happens locally and the generated value is not persisted by this tool.
What does exclude ambiguous characters do?
It removes characters that are easy to confuse visually, such as uppercase I, lowercase l, the digit 1, uppercase O and zero.
What does avoid repeated characters do?
It generates without reusing a character. If the requested length exceeds the available unique character set, the tool asks you to shorten the password or enable more character groups.
Should I reuse a generated password?
No. Use a different password for each account and store it in a reputable password manager if you cannot remember it safely.
