Method & formula
The model separates revenue ROAS from profit. Non-ad variable costs are removed first, then ad spend is subtracted. Profit-to-ad-spend is shown separately because it is not the same metric as standard revenue ROAS.
- Profit after ads = revenue - non-ad variable costs - ad spend
- Profit to ad spend = profit after ads / ad spend
Example
10,000 revenue less 5,300 non-ad variable costs and 2,000 ad spend leaves 2,700 profit after ads.
FAQ
Is profit-to-ad-spend a standard ROAS metric?
No. Standard ROAS is revenue divided by ad spend. This tool labels the profit ratio separately to avoid presenting the two as the same metric.
Is this a forecast?
No. It is deterministic planning arithmetic based on the assumptions you enter. Actual commercial performance can differ.
