How it works
PBT identifies the main subject in your browser, separates it from the background and creates a transparent PNG. The image itself does not need to be uploaded for the removal to work.

Frequently asked questions
Does the image leave my device?
No. The image is processed in your browser. PBT supplies the model files needed to run the tool, but your source image is not sent with them.
What format is exported?
Background Remover exports PNG because PNG supports a transparent background.
Privacy
Your source image stays in the browser. PBT does not send it to an external processing service or store it on a server.
