How it works
Choose an image, then drag the crop frame to position it or use the handles to resize it. Aspect-ratio presets keep common shapes locked, while the coordinate fields remain available for exact work. Zoom changes only the editor view; rotation and straightening are applied to the exported image before the crop is written.
Example
For a 2400 × 1600 image, X 600, Y 400, width 1200 and height 800 extracts the centred 1200 × 800 rectangle. The same rectangle can be created by dragging the crop frame visually.
Frequently asked questions
Can the crop go outside the image?
No. The crop frame and exact coordinate controls are bounded by the transformed image.
Does zoom change the exported crop?
No. Zoom only changes the size of the editing view. Crop dimensions are always measured in image pixels.
Does cropping preserve metadata?
Not necessarily. The cropped pixels are written into a new image file, so you should not rely on the original metadata being carried across.
