Image Resizer
Resize JPG, PNG and WebP images to the dimensions you need. Keep the original proportions or set an exact width and height, all in your browser.
Local image resizing
Choose an image and target dimensions
Keep the aspect ratio when you want the image to stay proportional, or turn it off when you need an exact width and height. Enlargement is off by default because making an image bigger cannot recreate detail that was never there.

How it works
PBT checks the source dimensions, works out the target size from the options you choose and creates a new image in the same JPG, PNG or WebP format. It also checks the image size before and after resizing so the browser does not take on more decoded data than it can safely handle.
Example
A 2400 × 1600 image resized proportionally to 1200 px wide becomes 1200 × 800. Put the same image inside a 1000 × 1000 bounding box with the aspect ratio locked and it becomes 1000 × 667 rather than being stretched into a square.
Frequently asked questions
Will the image be stretched?
Not while Keep aspect ratio is on. Turn it off only when you deliberately need an exact width and height, even if that changes the proportions.
Can I make an image larger?
Yes. Turn on Allow enlargement first. Bear in mind that ordinary resizing can make an image larger, but it cannot invent genuine detail that is missing from the source.
Does resizing preserve all metadata?
Not necessarily. The browser writes a new image file, so do not rely on embedded metadata being preserved.
